February 21 (SeeNews) - Electricity trader CEZ Trade Bulgaria, part of Czech energy group CEZ, has signed a 2.0 million levs ($1.1 million/1.0 million euro) power supply contract with the water utility serving the Bulgarian city of Silistra, the latter said on Friday.
The contract was awarded on February 12, the ViK-Silistra said in a notice
Under the terms of the contract, CEZ Trade will be responsible for the supply of an estimated 17,900 MWh of electricity for the needs of the utility's units over a one-year period.
The contract includes an option for extension of the term by a month and the additional supply of 1,492 MWh.
The public procurement procedure for awarding the contract has attracted eight offers.
