June 12 (SeeNews) - CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ] said on Wednesday that it is planning to invest 5.1 million levs ($2.9 million/2.6 million euro) this year in boosting the security of the power grid in the northwestern region of Vratsa.
Some 790,000 levs of the total will be used for the reconstruction of five power substations in the village of Turnak, in the Byala Slatina municipality, CEZ Distribution Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Czech power utility CEZ Group, said in a press release.
With the rest of the sum the company will finance the installation of about 21,000 smart meters, the modernisation of low-voltage networks in the region as well as additional works on the electricity supply network of the municipality of Roman.
