July 12 (SeeNews) - Power utility CEZ Distribution Bulgaria, a unit of Czech energy group CEZ, said on Friday that it has received a building permit for its 2.9 million levs ($1.7 million/1.5 million euro) project for replacing a 110 kV power transmission line and partial reconstruction of two substations in Sofia.
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria will replace a 2.2-km long cable, which supplies electricity to 96,000 households and businesses in Sofia, the company said in a statement.
The works are expected to be completed by mid-September.
Last month, financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] signed a deal to acquire the Bulgarian assets of Czech energy group CEZ, including a majority stake in CEZ Distribution Bulgaria, for 335 million euro. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
