November 28 (SeeNews) - CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], a subsidiary of Czech power utility CEZ, said on Wednesday that its consolidated net profit fell to 10.5 million levs ($6.1 million/5.4 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 28.8 million levs in the same period of 2017, following a drop in revenue.
The company's total operating revenue declined to 253.8 million levs in the nine months through September from 318.1 million levs in the comparable period of last year, CEZ Distribution said in an interim financial statement.
CEZ Distribution's operating expenses decreased to 242.2 million levs in the review period from 285.6 million levs the year before.
The company distributed 7,540,988 MWh of electricity in the period under review. This compares to 7,770,101 MWh distributed in the prior-year period, according to CEZ Distribution's interim report for the first nine months of 2017.
As at 14:30 CET on Wednesday, CEZ Distribution shares traded 2.91% lower at 220 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
