SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 26 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria's Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Central Cooperative Bank closed 2.95% higher at 1.710 levs ($1.01/0.87 euro) in a trading volume of 15,304 shares.
Total trading turnover on the BSE rose to 1.36 million levs on Wednesday from 262,400 levs on Tuesday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.40% to 714.59 points, after dropping 0.20% on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased 0.38% to 134.49 points, after falling 0.53% on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, edged up 0.13% to 114.39 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index decreased 0.05%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.80% to 545.87 points, after dropping by 0.51% on Tuesday.
Aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:6AM] fell the most among blue chips on Wednesday, closing 1.68% lower at 17.698 levs in a trading volume of 180 shares.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue-chip company on Wednesday, as 32,019 of its shares changed hands at an average price of 4.877 levs.
