March 10 (SeeNews) - The government of Central Bosnia Canton said it has signed two 30-year concession agreements with local companies Eko-Energy and Saracevic for the construction of solar power plants with a combined installed capacity of 2.4 MW.
The contract with Eko-Energy concerns the construction of two photovoltaic power plants, each with a capacity of 600 kW, in the Fojnica municipality, the cantonal government said in a statement on Thursday.
Under the second agreement, Saracevic will build another two solar power plants with a capacity of 600 kW each in the same municipality.
The two companies are expected to complete the construction of the solar power plants within 30 months after receiving urban planning permits.
The Central Bosnia Canton is one of ten cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
