BELGRADE (Serbia), May 18 - Serbia's government said on Thursday that Canadian car seats maker Magna Seating has started operating a new unit at its production factory in Odzaci, central Serbia.
The factory of Magna Seating currently covers an area of 10,000 sq m, the Serbian government said in a statement without disclosing the amount of the investment.

In August 2016, Serbian media reported that Magna Seating plans to open 500 jobs at its new facility in Odzaci, which had a staff of 940 back then.
Magna Seating set foot in Serbia in 2013 when it opened the factory in Odzaci and hired 444 employees.
The Serbian factory makes seating systems for models of Renault, Ford and Smart.
