January 10 (SeeNews) - Canadian healthcare products manufacturer Eviana Health Corporation plans to invest 10 million euro ($11.1 million) in a facility for cannabidiol (CBD) extraction in Montenegro's Cetinje, the city government has said.
A consortium of Eviana Health Corporation and two Montenegrin companies - Montenegro Bio Science and Ramel, has placed the best bid in a tender for the lease of assets of insolvent household appliances manufacturer Obod and intends to launch CBD extraction activities at its production site, the Cetinje city government said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the business plan of the consortium, a total of 10 million euro will be invested in the project in the next two years and a half, and at least 100 jobs will be opened. The consortium has proposed to pay a fee of 55,001 euro in two annual installments during the validity of the deal, the city government said.
Eviana delivers customised consumer healthcare products using natural hemp strains of cannabis sativa for cannabinoid-based topical creams, products and cosmeceutical and nutraceutical merchandise.
