November 12 (SeeNews) - Canadian low-cost carrier Air Transat plans to reintroduce direct flights linking Toronto to Croatian capital Zagreb next summer, local media reported.
The first flight is announced for May 11, 2021, with the airline planning to operate the service once a week until the end of May, twice a week between May 30 and June 17, and three times a week thereafter until the beginning of September, when the number of weekly flights will gradually decrease with the ending of the tourism season, local newswire Croatian Aviation reported earlier this week.
The flights will be operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity to transport 332 to 345 passengers.
This summer, with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Air Transat suspended the Toronto-Zagreb service, which it initially planned to operate twice a week from June 2 until October 31. The airline first introduced the service in June 2016.
