SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 22 (SeeNews) – US-based SpaceX said it has scheduled the launch of Bulgaria’s first geostationary communications satellite, Bulsatcom's BulgariaSat-1, for June 23.
The launch window opens at 2:10 Eastern (20:10 CET) on June 23, according to data from SpaseX’s website.
The satellite launch was planned for June 19 but was postponed due to a replacement of a fairing valve.
BulgariaSat-1 will be taken into space from Cape Canaveral aboard a space-proven Falcon 9 rocket provided by SpaceX.
Falcon 9 will launch the Bulgarian satellite from LC-39A pad, home of the historic Apollo and Space Shuttle programs.
