August 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's gas transmission network operator Bulgartransgaz said that its net profit edged down to 45.6 million levs ($26.2 million/23.3 million euro) in the first half of 2019 from 47.1 million levs in the same period of 2018.
Bulgartransgaz's revenue fell to 178.4 million levs in the January-June period of 2019 from 185.6 million levs in the comparable period of 2018, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company's operating profit rose to 46.9 million levs in the review period from 43.9 million levs the year before, on the back of lower expenses.
However, net financial income dropped to 3.8 million levs in the first six months of the year from 8.5 million levs in the corresponding period of 2018.
Bulgartransgaz's assets grew to 2.85 billion levs at the end of June from 2.78 billion levs at the end of 2018.
