May 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian sugar and confectionery producer Zaharni Zavodi [BUL:3Z9] said on Friday that its non-consolidated net profit grew to 1.3 million levs ($739,000/665,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2020 from 395,000 levs in the same period of 2019.
Zaharni Zavodi's revenue rose to 17.8 million levs in the review period from 15.6 million levs the year before, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company generated 65.78% of its revenue in the January-March period of 2020 on the domestic market.
Zaharni Zavodi's expenses increased to 16.6 million levs in the first three months of the year from 15.2 million levs in the comparable period of last year.
Zaharni Zavodi operates several production facilities, including a sugar refinery and a confectionery plant.
