June 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian manufacturer of cardboard packaging and cigarette filters Yuri Gagarin [BUL:YGAG] said that its consolidated net profit went up to 574,000 levs ($355,400/293,400 euro) in the first quarter of 2021 from 500,000 million levs in the same quarter of last year.
Yuri Gagarin's consolidated revenue rose sharply to 40.1 million levs in the first three months of this year from some 26.7 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement published earlier this week.
The company's operating expenses amounted to 39.5 million levs in the review period, up from 26.2 million levs in the first quarter of 2020, as the cost of goods sold increased to 17.4 million levs from 6.1 million levs, the financial statement showed.
The company consolidates the results of two wholly-owned units - Sofia Print Investment and U. G. Technics.
Yuri Gagarin manufactures multi-colour printed packaging and labels of cardboard and paper for the cigarette, food, cosmetic and other industries.
