April 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production rose by an annual 5.32% to 15,320 GWh in the January 1 - April 21 period of 2019, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption added 1.38% to 13,238 GWh in the review period, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports grew 39.84% to 2,082 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 1.0% on the year to 398 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 17.22% year-on-year to 567 GWh.
