November 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production rose by an annual 0.90% to 38,830 GWh in the January 1 - November 11 period, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Power consumption fell 4.45% on the year to 32,237 GWh in the period under review, ESO data shows.
Electricity exports increased 38.99% year-on-year to 6,594 GWh. Last year, Bulgaria halted electricity exports from January 13 to February 9 to meet increased domestic demand amidst harsh winter weather conditions.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system fell 7.05% on the year to 1,051 GWh in the January 1 – November 11 period, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system decreased by 10.60% year-on-year to 1,464 GWh.
