July 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 8.41% to 21,068 GWh in the January 1 - July 5 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 15.99% to 3,864 GWh in the period under review, while imports grew 24.05% to 2,187 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 3.85% to 19,390 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 15.75% year-on-year to 742 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 9.61% to 1,070 GWh.
