Bulgaria's YTD power output falls 4.15%, consumption flattish

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 4.15% to 40,189 GWh in the January 1 - December 1 period of 2019, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO). 

Electricity exports decreased 23.34% to 5,524 GWh in the period under review, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.

Domestic power consumption edged down 0.16% to 34,665 GWh.

The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system fell 1.91% year-on-year to 1,096 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 10.23% year-on-year to 1,696 GWh.
