March 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production dropped by an annual 17% to 11,616 GWh from January 1 to March 26, the Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday.
Domestic power consumption fell by 6.56% year-on-year to 10,122 GWh in the review period, ESO said in its latest weekly newsletter.
Bulgaria's power trade surplus sank by 53% in annual terms to 1,493 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission network rose by 8.62% to 424.9 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system declined by 4.24% to some 507 GWh.
The output of hydropower plants went down by 37% on the year to 655.6 GWh.
