March 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by 14.77% on the year to 9,985 GWh from January 1 to March 12, the Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday.
Domestic power consumption decreased by an annual 5% to 8,622 GWh in the review period, ESO said in its latest weekly newsletter.
Bulgaria's power trade surplus slumped by 48.36% year-on-year to 1,363 GWh in the period under review.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission network jumped by 13.7% to 353.2 GWh, whereas the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system ticked down by 0.45% to 416.5 GWh.
The output of hydropower plants dropped by 35.75% to 566.9 GWh in annual terms in the review period.
