March 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 9.22% to 11,362 GWh in the January 1 - March 29 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 17.73% to 1,960 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 84.81% to 1,346 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 1.04% to 10,748 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 17.17% year-on-year to 382 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 10.70% to 506 GWh.
