February 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 13.31% to 6,959 GWh in the January 1 - February 23 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports dropped 27.36% to 993 GWh in the period under review, while imports soared 121.11% to 895 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Domestic power consumption fell 2.89% to 6,861 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system grew 12.46% year-on-year to 216 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 15.07% to 294 GWh.
