March 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production declined by 12.85% year-on-year to 9,150 GWh in the period from January 1 to March 5, the Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday.
Domestic power consumption went down by 3% on the year to 7,883 GWh, ESO said in its latest weekly newsletter.
Bulgaria's power trade surplus dropped by an annual 46.6% to 1,266 GWh in the review period.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission network grew by 13.13%, reaching 312.3 GWh. The volume of renewable energy in the distribution system edged down by 2.19% to 364.8 GWh.
The output of hydropower plants fell by 32.27% to 525.4 GWh in annual terms, data showed.
