September 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's electricity production fell by an annual 21.82% to 29,667 GWh between January 1 and September 24, the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday.
Domestic power consumption declined by 5.02% on the year to 26,505 GWh, ESO said in a weekly data release.

The country's power trade surplus sank by 68.51% year-on-year to 3,163 GWh in the period under review.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission network grew by 55.43% to some 1,852 GWh. Solar power soared by an annual 139% to some 1,213 GWh, whereas wind power went down by 2.52% to 556.1 GWh.
At the same time, the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 9.3% to 1,869 GWh.
The output of hydropower plants shed 16.85% on the year to 2,543 GWh in the review period.
