September 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 8.18% to 28,550 GWh in the January 1 - September 13 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption fell 3.92% to 25,765 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports were 2,785 GWh higher than the imports during the review period. However, this figure represents a 35.06% year-on-year decrease.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 12.21% year-on-year to 969 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 6.97% to 1,454 GWh.
