March 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production rose by an annual 6.73% to 11,017 GWh in the January 1 - March 17 period, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption edged up 0.80% year-on-year to 9,590 GWh in the period under review, ESO said in its weekly bulletin.
Electricity exports soared 76.53% to 1,427 GWh.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 6.90% on the year to 282 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 24.63% year-on-year to 387 GWh.
