January 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production rose by an annual 15.87% to 876 GWh in the January 1 - 6 period, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Electricity exports more than doubled to 89 GWh in the first six days of the year from 36 GWh in the same period of last year, ESO said in its weekly bulletin.
Domestic power consumption increased 9.32% year-on-year to 787 GWh in the review period.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system added 33.14% on the year to 16 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose by 26.84% year-on-year to 25 GWh.
