October 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's ViK Varna, the water utility serving Varna region, awarded two deals for the delivery of electricity for its own needs worth a total of 27.3 million levs ($16.1 million/14 million euro) to local power suppliers ESP Zlatni Piasaci and Energo-Pro Sales, the public procurement agency said.
The first deal, for 900,000 levs, for medium- and low-voltage electricity for ViK Varna's sites within Zlatni Piasaci resort on the Black Sea coast, was awarded to ESP Zlatni Piasaci. The second, for 26.4 million levs, to serve the medium- and low-voltage electricity needs of the utility's sites within Varna region except for Golden Sands, was awarded to Energo-Pro Sales.
Both contracts were signed on September 27.
ESP Zlatni Piasaci is a unit of Zlatni Piasaci AD, the Bulgarian company operating the coastal resort. Energo-Pro Sales is a unit of Czech power utility Energo-Pro.
