May 28 (SeeNews) - ViK Varna, the water utility serving Bulgaria's Varna city, said on Thursday it has signed a 6.0 million levs ($3.2 million/3.1 million euro) deal with a local consortium comprising Hydrocontrol and Techno Instal for the supply of new water meters.
According to registry agency data, Plovdiv-based Hydrocontrol and Techno Instal each hold 50% in the awarded tie-up.
The deal was signed on May 15, the utility said in a tender notice.
The contract envisages the delivery of new meters for drinking water, remote reading systems for water meters and water meter shafts, along other pieces of equipment.
The consortium has submitted the sole offer in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract. Price carried 80% weight in the overall ranking of the bid.
