June 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's UniCredit Bulbank, part of Italy-based UniCredit Group, said on Tuesday that its supervisory board has approved the appointment of Tzvetanka Mintcheva as chief executive officer and chairperson of the management board.
Mintcheva's appointment has to be approved by the central bank and filed with the registry agency before it officially takes effect, UniCredit Bulbank said in a statement.
Mintcheva is replacing Teodora Petkova, who was appointed head of UniCredit's Eastern European division last month.
Mintcheva became deputy CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania in July 2020.
With assets amounting to 24.8 billion levs ($15.37 billion/12.68 billion euro) at the end of March, UniCredit Bulbank was the biggest bank in Bulgaria, according to latest available information from the central bank.
