January 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's caretaker government said on Wednesday that local mining company Inert Group Commerce will be the new concessionaire for two areas of limestone deposit Gradets, in western Bulgaria.
The transfer of rights and obligations will be made on request of the previous concessionairel, Patishta i Saorazhenija, the government said in a statement.
The government also decided to propose changes to some clauses of the concession contract to Inert Group. If the amendments are accepted, the requested bank guarantee will fully cover all the obligations, not only the monetary ones, under the contract. Until now, the guarantee has been covering 10% of the concessionaire's monetary obligations.
Patishta i Saorazhenija was awarded the concession contract in 2011 for a period of 25 years.
