May 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian thermal power plant (TPP) Varna said that it has ranked first an 11.5 million levs ($6.4 million/5.9 million euro) offer from local Dietsmann Energoremont Holding in a tender for a contract for repairs of the plant's units 4, 5 and 6.
The deal envisages repairs of furnace, turbine and other equipment in the three units, tender documents published by TPP Varna showed.
The contract is still due to be signed.
The other offer in the tender for the contract, from a tie-up named Energoremont-IDA, was priced at 22.9 million levs and thus ranked second.
According to registry agency data, the Energoremont-IDA tie-up comprises local Energoremont-Galabovo and Metalik, with both companies holding 50% interest.
TPP Varna has six units of 210 MW each, of which only three are operational.
