February 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's state-owned coal-fired thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa Iztok 2 said on Tuesday that it awarded a 1.2 million levs ($738,500/613,600) contract for the delivery of spare parts to local company Sedona-Op.
The contract was signed on January 27, the contracting authority said in a notice published on the website of the public procurement agency.
Under the terms of the deal, Sedona-Op will be responsible for the delivery of spare parts for recirculation equipment, part of one of the TPP's absorbers. The contract concerns the delivery of spare parts manufactured by Germany's pump and valve manufacturer KSB.
Stara Zagora-based Sedona-Op, established in 2007, is specialised in the supply of equipment and spare parts for the energy, mining, quarrying and manufacturing industries.
TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 has eight operating units with a total installed capacity of 1,620 MW.
