SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's state-owned coal-fired thermal power plant Maritsa Iztok 2 said on Friday that it has signed a 5.05 million levs ($2.8 million/2.6 million euro) deal with local ZKI-Volta for the delivery and installation of anti-corrosive protection covers for the absorbers of its Unit 8.
The deal was signed on October 31, TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 said in a notice.
The winner has submitted the sole offer in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract.
Dimitrovgrad-based ZKI-Volta's main activities include rubber manufacturing, rubber confection, rubber lining of vessels and equipment against corrosion, lamination of shafts and ditches using unsaturated polyester resins and fiber reinforcement.
TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 has eight units with a total capacity of 1,620 MW.
