SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa Iztok 2 has shut down its 177 MW Unit 2 for planned maintenance, the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) said on Monday.
The unit is expected to be reconnected to the grid on June 12, IBEX said in a notice.
TPP Maritsa Iztok 2 has eight operating units with a total installed capacity of 1,620 MW.
