March 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian managed services provider TBS Group [BUL:TBS] said that its unit Telelink Business Services has struck a 19.16 million levs ($10.41 million/9.8 million euro) deal to participate in a project for the implementation of a national intelligent system for video surveillance at road junctions.
Telelink Business Services will provide services and assets for the benefit of local consortium Telesek, in which it is partnering with local security and protection solutions provider Sectron.
The contract has been awarded to the consortium by the ministry of the interior, TBS said in a stock exchange filing, adding that the intelligent video surveillance system will represent an upgrade to the ministry's existing integrated automated security system.
According to data from Bulgaria's public procurement register, Telesek won the contract with a price offer of 25.2 million levs.
In November, a consortium controlled by Telcom Engineering and involving Telelink Infra Services, another unit of TBS Group, embarked on a 108.4 million levs project for the development and overhaul of the interior ministry's TETRA digital system and radio relay network.
