April 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's TBI Bank, part of Luxembourg-registered consumer lending group 4finance Holding, plans to launch a new banking card service in order to provide clients with faster access to its loans, a senior bank official told Seenews on Wednesday.
A banking card, or an e-wallet, will help returning customers use TBI Bank's services without going through the same initial procedures each time they apply for a consumer loan, Gergana Staykova, senior vice president of lending and distribution at TBI Bank, told SeeNews on the sidelines of a news conference.
"We are currently in the process of considering such service and we hope that by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2019, we could offer the service," Staykova added.
According to the TBI official, the new banking card will have all the features of a depository account.
TBI Bank was Bulgaria's 18th biggest bank in terms of assets as at end-February, according to central bank data.
