August 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Synthetica [BUL:0SYA] said on Wednesday that it turned to a consolidated net loss of 1.1 million levs ($635,700/562,420 euro) in the first half of 2018 from a net profit of 1.1 million levs in the same period of last year.
The company's operating revenue decreased to 22.4 million levs in the first six months of the year from 24.8 million levs in the corresponding period of 2017, Synthetica said in an interim financial statement.
Synthetica's operating expenses remained unchanged year-on-year at 23.7 million levs.
Synthetica owns a 51.01% stake in medical consumables maker Etropal [BUL5EO], 51% in bus company Union Ivkoni, and 100% in Medical Centre Euromedic. Synthetica also owns indirectly, through Etropal, a 70% stake in medical consumables trader Etropal Trade.
