July 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian steel manufacturer Stomana Industry said its net profit rose to 15.6 million levs ($8.9 million/8.0 million euro) in 2018 from 14.8 million levs the year before, following a rise in revenue.
Stomana Industry's sales grew to 871.3 million levs last year from 743.6 million levs in 2017, the company said in a bourse filing.
Cost of goods sold increased to 768.9 million levs in 2018 from 642.2 million levs in 2017, while selling and distribution costs rose to 58.2 million levs from 56.5 million levs.
Financial expenses edged down to 19.1 million levs from 20.9 million levs.
The company's assets increased to 655.0 million levs at the end of 2018 from 645.2 million levs a year earlier.
