January 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY] said that its non-consolidated net profit jumped to 41.3 million levs ($23.02 million/21.12 million euro) in 2022 from 29.9 million levs the prior year.
Speedy’s revenue went up to 274.4 million levs last year against 226.3 million levs in 2021, the company said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
Domestic sales revenue grew by an annual 24.9% to 210.8 million levs, while sales on foreign markets added 9.5% to 44.3 million levs. The number of completed deliveries in the review period went up 3.4% on the year to some 42.7 million.
Speedy's operating expenses increased to 229.9 million levs from 194.2 million levs due to higher costs for remuneration and hired services.
Investments last year amounted to 21.7 million levs, down from previous years. Investments in warehousing spaces totalled 7.8 million levs, whereas the company spent 3.8 million levs on logistics vehicles, 6.4 million levs on automated parcel processing lines and 3.7 million levs on software and ICT equipment.
As of 1150 CET on Tuesday, shares in Speedy traded 1.90% higher at 107.00 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
