November 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy [BUL:0SP] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit rose to 12.1 million levs ($6.8 million/6.2 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 9.8 million levs in the same period of 2018.
Speedy's revenue grew to 159.2 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 128.6 million levs in the comparable period of 2018, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Domestic market sales revenue rose by an annual 17% to 84.6 million levs, while sales revenue abroad jumped 33.1% to 66.6 million levs.
Speedy made 28.3 million deliveries in January-September, up by an annual 36.6%.
The company's expenses increased to 145.2 million levs in the review period from 117.4 million levs the year before.
Expenses for hired services, which for the majority of Speedy's expenses, grew to 83.3 million levs from 74.1 million levs in the like period of 2018. Personnel costs rose by 7.1 million levs to 28.1 million levs in the first nine months of the year, while amortisation costs grew by 7.5 million levs to 15.9 million levs.
