August 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit grew to some 14.2 million levs ($8.5 million/7.3 million euro) in the first half of 2021, from 12.2 million levs in the same period of 2020.
Speedy's revenue increased to some 156.6 million levs in the first six months of the year from 127.8 million levs in the comparable period of 2020, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Sales revenue in Bulgaria rose 18% to 75.905 million levs, while sales revenue on foreign markets grew 30% to 75.985 million levs.
The number of completed deliveries grew by an annual 23% to 29.208 million in the first half of 2021.
Speedy's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose to some 30.6 million levs from 25.9 million levs.
As at 13:50 CET, shares in Speedy traded flat at 111 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE).
