December 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY] said that its consolidated net profit rose to 21.8 million levs ($12.6 million/11.2 million euro) in the first nine months of 2021 from 19.5 million levs in the same period of last year.
Speedy's revenue went up to 238.3 million levs in January-September 2021 from 196 million levs in the comparable period of 2020, the company said in an interim financial statement on Tuesday.
Speedy's expenses grew to 213.1 million levs in the review period from 173.9 million levs a year earlier.
In the third quarter alone, Speedy's sales revenue in Bulgaria rose by an annual 17% to 115.3 million levs, while sales on foreign markets went up 27.2% to 115.4 million levs.
The number of completed deliveries topped 41.9 million in the third quarter, compared to about 36.3 million in the same period of 2020.
As at 14:50 CET on Wednesday, shares in Speedy traded 0.85% higher at 118 levs, Sofia bourse data showed.
