November 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pharmaceuticals retailer Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT] said that its profit before taxes jumped 21% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2022 to reach 27.2 million levs ($14.5 million/13.9 million euro).
Sopharma Trading's aggregate revenue increased by an annual 12% to 883.4 million levs in the January-October period, the company said in a bourse filing after close of trading on Friday.
In October alone, profit before taxes amounted to some 2.84 million levs, which was an increase of 28% on the pre-tax profit recorded in the same month of 2021.
The company's revenue in October went up by 17% to over 93.2 million levs.
Sopharma Trading is a unit of Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA]. In September, the parent company lifted to 85% from 81.3% its controlling stake in the subsidiary.
Shares in Sopharma Trading closed flat at 5.78 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday. The company, which owns retail chain SoPharmacy, has a market capitalisation of 198.1 million levs.
