SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 27 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian drug distributor Sopharma Trading [BUL:SO5] said on Thursday it has opened its first pharmacy in the town of Stara Zagora, under the SOpharmacy brand.
This is Sopharma Trading’s 20th pharmacy in the country, the company said in a statement.
In May, Sopharma Trading said it will seek regulatory approval to acquire 19 pharmacies making up PharmaStore chain. The Commission for Protection of Competition said in June it is launching an in-depth investigation before deciding whether to grant approval for the acquisition as it might potentially lead to distortion of competition.
As at 14:20 CET on Thursday, Sopharma Trading shares were traded 0.04% higher at 8.398 levs ($5.02/4.29 euro).
