May 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said on Tuesday its consolidated net profit rose by an annual 75.5% to 18.2 million levs ($10.4 million/9.3 million euro) in the first quarter of 2017.
Sopharma’s sales revenue rose 11.1% year-on-year to 239.7 million levs in the January-March period.
The company’s operating profit rose 39.1% on the year to 21.5 million levs in the review period.
Sopharma, Bulgaria's biggest drug maker, has subsidiaries in Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Belarus, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Sopharma shares closed 0.25% lower at 3.97 levs on Tuesday, in a trading volume of 1,253 shares.
