SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 7 (SeeNews) – Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue chip on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for a third consecutive trading session, bourse data showed on Thursday.
Over 2.5 million Sopharma shares changed hands on Thursday at a weighted average price of 4.27 levs ($2.59/2.18 euro) apiece.
On Wednesday, some 4.7 million Sopharma shares were traded on the Sofia bourse, while on Tuesday over 6 million of the company’s shares changed hands.
The total trading turnover on the regulated market of the Sofia bourse fell to 11.3 million levs on Thursday from 20.4 million levs on Wednesday.
Software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] fell the most among blue chips on the Sofia bourse, closing 2.26% lower at 1.04 levs.
Real estate investment trust Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF) [BUL:5BU] was the top blue-chip gainer, as it closed 1.33% higher at 2.21 levs.
The BSE's blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.14% to 665.37 points on Thursday after decreasing by 0.28% on Wednesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, decreased 0.17% to 130.09 points, after falling 0.16% on Wednesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, rose 0.27% to 114.30 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index closed 0.01% higher.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.23% to 546.41 points, following a 0.21% decrease on Wednesday.
