July 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s Solvay Sodi, a unit of Belgium-based soda ash maker Solvay, said that its consolidated net profit fell to 127.8 million levs ($73.5 million/65.3 million euro) in 2018 from 169.6 million levs the year before, due to a lower sales margin.
Solvay Sodi's sales fell to 448.7 million levs last year from 471.0 million levs in 2017, the company said in an annual financial statement.
Cost of goods sold increased to 278.5 million levs from 251.9 million levs.
Commercial and administrative expenses edged down to 18.2 million levs in 2018 from 19.3 million levs in 2017.
Solvay Sodi's assets fell to 614.9 million levs at the end of 2018 from 651.0 million levs a year earlier.
