April 12 (SeeNews) - Sofiyska Voda - the water utility company serving the Bulgarian capital Sofia, said on Monday that it has signed a car purchase deal worth some 1 million levs ($608,000/511,000 euro) with local dealer Sofia France Auto.
The contract was signed on March 25 as Sofia France Auto filed the sole bid in a tender for the deal, Sofiyska Voda said in a notice to the public procurement agency.

Sofia France Auto is the official importer of Peugeot, DS Automobiles and Piaggio in Bulgaria. Last year, the company acquired Opel Automotive Bulgaria, the official importer of Opel cars in Bulgaria.
Sofiyska Voda was established in October 2000 under a 25-year concession contract for the operation and maintenance of Sofia's water supply and sewerage system. France's Veolia Water owns 77.1% of the company's capital, while the Sofia municipality holds a stake of 22.9%.
