September 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:6SOB] said on Monday that its consolidated net profit rose to 466,000 levs ($278,000/238,300 euro) in the first quarter of 2020 from 389,000 levs in the same period of last year.
The company's operating revenue increased to 1.7 million levs in the first three months of the year from 1.5 million levs in the comparable period of 2019, mostly due to higher revenue from sales of services, Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage said in an interim financial statement.
Operating expenses were flattish at some 1.1 million levs in the review period.
As at 13:55 CET on Monday, Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage's shares traded unchanged at 6.25 levs on the floor of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage operates a chain of over 100 pawnshops in Bulgaria, employing around 150 people.
