December 5 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:SCOM] said that its consolidated net profit rose to 2.25 million levs ($1.22 million/1.15 million euro) in the first nine months of 2022 from 1.37 million levs in the same period of 2021.
Revenue increased 6.03 million levs in the months through September from 4.6 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
At the same time, operating expenses climbed to 3.45 million levs from 3.03 million levs due to higher remuneration costs.
Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage operates a chain of over 100 pawnshops in Bulgaria.
In July, the company said that it will set up a subsidiary in North Macedonia named Makkom Cash Skopje.
As at 1439 CET on Monday, shares in Sofia Commerce traded flat at 2.92 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
